Love Kuching Project
Love Kuching Project is a community-based cat rescue group in Singapore that focuses on the following cat welfare objectives:
– Rescue of cats in need – Rehabilitation of cats at risk such as injured or critically ill strays.
– Adoption of pet cats – Raising awareness and providing adoption opportunities for the cats we rescue and rehabilitate.
– Education – Sharing and informing to better educate the public on cats as companion animals.
Apart from their social media platforms we also have outreach programmes such as Feline Therapy for seniors in hospitals and nursing homes, to not only provide human patients with therapy but also to promote the love of cats amongst seniors. They conduct cat care talks, and also have a pro bono cat behaviour management service in which they help owners with problematic behaviour in pet cats in exchange for a free will donation.

Animal Lovers League
Their forlorn and despondent state became our inspiration to better their lives. Our rescued animals, over 500 cats and dogs, became our charges to stay. Animal Lovers League, currently a registered no-kill shelter, became official in 2002 to legitimately garner sufficient support in our quest to control the stray population by sterilisation and not annihilation.
As one of the largest and longest serving animal welfare group in Singapore, ALL constantly needs the support of the public to help keep the charity running and continue caring for the animals. Some of the ways members of the public can help include, giving monetary contributions and monthly pledges, donating food for the cats and dogs and taking care of the animals.
Everyday, we hear pleas to save or rescue a life. We however, persist in rehoming and sheltering all those who seek refuge with us though the journey is a challenging and onerous one. We advocate adoption over buying.
Please stay with Animal Lovers League, walk with us, feel with us and continue to support so that we can continue helping our shelter creatures as well as our over 500 stray dogs and cats. These are daunting numbers, but we continue to strive for the sake of our animals, giving each and every one of them a voice.

House Rabbit Society Singapore
A lot of pet animals in Singapore suffer unnecessarily because of ignorance on part of their owners. Many people buy pets on impulse and do not fully appreciate the responsibilities of keeping an animal at home. The problem is particularly acute for rabbits because people wrongly assume that they are low-maintenance starter pets.
House Rabbit Society Singapore (HRSS) was established by a group of concerned volunteers in April 2002 to address this problem. We are also a certified educator for the American House Rabbit Society.
HRSS runs a fostering programme to rescue and re-home abandoned rabbits. Every rescued rabbit is spayed or neutered, receives individual care including toys, medical care, healthy food and treats, and lots of love while they await for their permanent home.

Mercylight Animal Rescue Sanctuary
We started as a handful of volunteers who feed stray dogs every evening in the eastern side of Singapore. It all began in 2009 when one of us spotted a skeleton-thin dog standing in the middle of a two-laned road in an industrial area and gave the dog her takeaway dinner – a packet of chicken rice. And from that evening onward, rain or shine, the dog will faithfully wait at that same corner of the road at the same hour every day for the same person to come and feed her. Today, by this similar kind of acquaintances, we feed about 50 dogs over a few locations daily. We have also sterilised and got many of them adopted to good homes with which we still keep in touch.
There are only two choices to most things in life and we can choose the easier one – to ignore the plight of the street dogs. If we do this, there are just a few inevitable outcomes that will befall them.

Purely Adoptions
We are Purely Adoptions
Purely Adoptions FaceBook was created in 2009 with the objective of sharing people’s post about puppies, stray animals and home pets up for adoptions. This proved to be a useful platform as it encouraged adoption and increased fostering activities took place.
The target audience soon grew to more than 15,000 followers in a short span of 3 years. As we get more involved in the animal rescue scene in Singapore through the posting of Facebook pages, we became increasingly aware of the rescuers and stray feeder’s needs and constraints. This is when we felt that we could and should go beyond posting on Facebook. We started speaking with stray feeders, visited shelters, talking to pioneers in the rescue scene as well as liaise with food distributors as we progressively got more directly involved in animal rescue.
In 2013, we were alerted of an urgent rescue case at Tuas area, where there were 5 puppies trapped inside a 50 metre long metal pipe. It is likely that the mother dog had climbed in and given birth inside the pipe so as to protect her puppies. This is how we embarked on our first project – we started looking for fosterers and adopters who were willing to take in these 2 weeks old pups.
While looking for suitable fosterers and adopters, we took care of the puppies ourselves, feeding them at every 3 hours interval, 6 times a day. It wasn’t an easy task feeding the little ones. We had to warm up milk, mixed it with the milk formula and feed every single one of them everyday.
Undoubtedly, we struggled at the start. However, seeing the puppies grow up, opening their eyes and starting to eat on their own over the days gave us immense satisfaction and happiness.
This is when we know that we want to recreate this feeling of joy and so our journey continues…

Cat Welfare Society
Cat Welfare Society (CWS) was formed in July 1999 by a group of friends who got together to help community cats and kittens after being outraged by a newspaper report about 5 kittens being burned alive in a box. In 1999, more than 13,000 cats were culled that year in a bid to control the stray population. That equated to an average of 35 cats killed every single day.
CWS set about to reduce this number with the aim of eliminating it entirely. Our tireless campaigning over the years against the inhumane culling of cats has resulted in a record low of less than 1000 cats put down since 2015.
Over the years, CWS has grown from strength to strength and evolved in its vision and mission. Our work has expanded to include community mediation and frontline intervention, community cat population management, education on responsible practices, outreach, and advocacy.
Most recently we have driven sea change in Singapore’s history to help overturn the ban on cat ownership in HDBs, the setting up of a standard framework for responsible cat ownership and caregiving.

SOSD Singapore is a volunteer-run animal welfare organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of street dogs. We stand for compassion, second chances, and the belief that every dog—regardless of background—deserves a safe, loving home.
What motivates us is the unwavering spirit of the dogs we rescue, and the hope of building a more inclusive society where animals are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. Through advocacy, community outreach, and responsible pet ownership education, we strive to create long-term solutions for the stray dog population in Singapore.

Noah's Ark CARES
NA CARES was formed in June 2005 as a society and gained the Charity status and Institution of a Public Character (IPC) in 2016 which allows donations made by individuals and companies, tax deductible.
NA CARES’s main cause is Trap, Neuter, Release and Manage (TNRM) stray animals to humanely control the stray population in Singapore. Working in tandem with the local government agency and other animal welfare groups (AWGs), we aim to have a stray-free Singapore in years to come.
The two TNRM projects handled by volunteers are “Project Industrial Dogs” (PID) and “Project Cat Snip” (PCS). In addition to the industrial areas, NA CARES is actively involved in the Jurong Island Project initiated by a Minister. The Jurong Island project entails TNR and the welfare management of the strays (food, water, medical needs, rehoming, etc.).
How can you help? There are many ways to contribute towards our cause – every bit counts and it goes a long way.
• Donate towards sterilisation, food cost for the strays.
• Provide a foster home so that the dog has a chance to be rehomed. With every dog rehomed, we are able to save another dog off the streets.
• Adopt a dog and share your experience with others – be an advocate for adoption.
• Volunteer your time and skills. We need committed volunteers for on-going projects, events, designers, writers, photographers, social media and website management.
Contact us at noahsarkcares@gmail.com if you are able to help us work towards a better future for the stray animals.

Exclusively Mongrels
Exclusively Mongrels was set up in Jul 2012 as a non-profit organisation to serve the needs of the local mixed breed, a.k.a Singapore Special.
EM does not operate a shelter and all rescues are placed with foster homes to assimilate them into an actual home environment prior to rehoming the rescues to permanent homes.
Through adoption drives, social media posts and referrals, EM has one of the highest rehoming rates of rescue dogs. Focusing on impounded strays as its priority, EM has rehomed over 1,000 dogs in its 12 years of operations. EM is also a Project Adore partner with the HDB, allowing Singapore Specials to be rehomed to HDB dwellers under this scheme.

Project Luni
Project LUNI is a non-profit foundation registered in Singapore that focuses on helping cats with 4 pilars:
1. TNR (trap-neuter-return / sterilisation program)
2. Responsible feeding of over 700 street cats daily
3. Providing medical care for injured and sick street cats
4. Rescue, fostering and rehoming of cats and kittens
Since launching in 2016, Project LUNI has rehomed over 1,400 cats and kittens.
A key pillar of Project LUNI’s work is our Trap-Neuter-Release-Manage programme which has neutered over 1100 cats so far.
We also support several feeders who responsibly feed cats all over Singapore with monthly food donations and medical care for community cats, to ensure the cats are well-cared for after release.
Each month, we have bills up to SGD 40,000 per month and rely on kind donations from the public to help as many cats as possible each year.
Chained Dog Awareness
In 2015, Chained Dog Awareness Singapore was started. The non-profit organisation was founded to raise awareness of the plight of the many dogs chained across Singapore. We believe in upholding the Five Domains of Animal Welfare, a new model proposed by Professor David Mellor and Dr Cam Reid in 1994, as a means of systematically identifying and grading the severity of different forms of welfare compromise by reformulating the Five Freedoms as ‘Five Domains’ of nutrition, environment, health, behaviour and mental state.

Action for Singapore Dogs
Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD) is a registered Charity and was established in December 2000 as a non-profit organisation with the mission to improve the welfare of stray and abandoned dogs in Singapore with a strict no-kill policy. We aim to fulfill our mission through various activities and programmes including rescuing, fostering and re-homing of stray and abandoned dogs, advocating sterilisation to control the stray population, responsible pet ownership and highlighting the virtues of our local dogs, the Singapore Specials. To date, we have rehomed over 3000 dogs and currently have about 120 dogs under our care. These dogs are housed at our ASD Canine Rehoming Centre (ACRC) and in foster homes. All our work requires tremendous amounts of monetary and manpower resources, and we hope you can join us in giving these dogs a second chance at life, be it a donation, sponsorship, fostering or adopting or volunteering in the many different aspects of our work.
