Event Rules & Regulations

What do I need to know if I am bringing my own pet?

Your pet is your responsibility at all times. Pets must be kept on a secure leash and under control throughout the event. Please ensure your pet is comfortable in a crowded and potentially noisy environment, as PetExpo will be attended by visitors of all ages.

Owners are responsible for their pet’s behaviour and hygiene. Please clean up after your pet if it soils itself or its surroundings, and be mindful of other visitors and pets sharing the space. We encourage owners to take regular breaks and avoid overcrowded areas if their pet appears stressed or overwhelmed.

In accordance with public safety guidelines in Singapore, the following dog breeds are required to be leashed and muzzled at all times in public places, and at PetExpo.

Pit Bull and Pit Bull Type Dogs, including:

  • American Pit Bull Terrier
  • American Staffordshire Terrier
  • Staffordshire Bull Terrier
  • American Bulldog
  • Any crossbreeds of the above

Other Restricted Breeds:

  • Akita
  • Neapolitan Mastiff
  • Tosa
  • Dogo Argentino
  • Fila Brasileiro
  • Boerboel
  • Perro de Presa Canario
  • Bull Terrier
  • Doberman Pinscher
  • Rottweiler
  • German Shepherd Dog, including related breeds such as:
    • Belgian Shepherd Dog
    • East European Shepherd Dog
  • Mastiffs, including:
    • Bull Mastiff
    • Cane Corso
    • Dogue de Bordeaux

Crossbreeds:

  • Any crossbreed of the breeds listed above is also subject to the same leashing and muzzling requirements.

Owners of these breeds are responsible for ensuring their dogs are properly leashed and muzzled throughout the event. Failure to comply may result in being asked to leave the venue for the safety and comfort of all attendees.

Always ask for permission before approaching or touching another person’s pet. Not all pets are comfortable with strangers, sudden movements, or loud noises. Please do not feed other people’s pets or attempt to restrain, provoke, or overstimulate them.

Children should be supervised at all times around animals, and parents are encouraged to guide children on respectful behaviour when interacting with pets.
